Master Kits*MSD is making Atomic EFI the simple solution for your LS EFI needs. Start your installation by knowing that you’re getting everything you need for your crate engine. These kits are each designed for a specific engine and are supplied with the Rail Assemblies, Handheld Controller, Power Module and Harness, Wide-Band 02 Sensor and Bung, -6 fittings for the fuel rails and hose for the cross-over.
There is one accessory ‘Installation Kits’ that provide the correct injector connectors for an LS1/LS6 when used with the PN 2950 LS2/3 Master Kit.

Installation KitsThese kits complement the Master Kits and provided the necessary brackets and injector connectors to complete and install for LS1/LS6 and LS Trucks. These kits provide different brackets for the rail assemblies as well as different injector connectors to adapt the LS2/3 Master Kit to work on the LS1/LS6 and truck intakes. Must be used with PN 2950 Master Kit.
The Atomic Transmission Control Module (TCM) shares the communication protocol used in our Atomic EFI systems. The connectivity afforded by this technology allows seamless integration between the Atomic EFI system and the Atomic TCM. This means that the two systems communicate and share sensor inputs and data. This not only improves performance, but it reduces sensor duplication and wiring complexity. As an example, the Atomic TCM will use the Atomic EFI’s Throttle Position Sensor data while the EFI can use the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) data from the TCM. Better yet, only one Handheld Monitor is needed to configure both the EFI and the TCM! This results in a simple, clean, easy-to-use installation!

With the addition of the Atomic Fuel Injection Systems, high output DynaForce alternators, and heavy duty starters, MSD has proven itself to be much more than the leader in ignition technology. As vehicle electronic requirements continue to evolve, MSD is there as your source for integrated performance controls with its new Atomic Transmission Control Module (TCM)! The all-new MSD Transmission Controller was developed completely in-house – evolving from the engineering expertise and proven performance of our Atomic EFI technology. In fact, the Atomic TCM is designed to integrate directly with the Atomic EFI when using Brainwave so you can modify transmission operation parameters from the same handheld monitor! Doing away with the need for sensor duplication, and an extra programmer, means less wiring for easy installation and a clean appearance. Don’t worry if you haven’t stepped up to an Atomic EFI system yet; the Trans Controller is also offered as a stand-alone system to work with most OEM or aftermarket fuel injection systems, as well as carbureted applications equipped with a stand-alone Throttle Position Sensor (TPS). This allows you to take advantage of modern 4-speed overdrive transmissions and the inherent flexibility associated with electronic controls.

The Atomic TCM allows simple parameter adjustment using the supplied Handheld Monitor. That’s right - no need to worry about a PC and complicated software. The Handheld connects to the Atomic TCM and can be left in place as a dash board to monitor the transmission in real-time, or disconnected once the configuration is complete*. Once installed and connected, you need only specify a few basic parameters that are listed in the Initial Setup menu. First and foremost, select the type of transmission you are using (such as a GM 4L60E or Ford 4R70W). All supported transmission types are listed in the menu to make this step easier. Other required fields under Initial Setup include the number of engine cylinders, rear end gear ratio (and transfer case ratio, if applicable), and tire height. Once the Initial Setup has been completed, you can start and drive the vehicle while taking advantage of the Advanced Setup menu items to dial-in the transmission to your liking. From the Advanced Setup menu, you can control shift points and characteristics like shift feel and torque converter clutch operation. There are also options allowing adjustment of the desired Wide Open Throttle (WOT) shifting, Vehicle Speed Sensor configuration, and more. You can feel the results in real-time as a passenger manipulates the parameters and monitors real-time operational data on the Handheld Monitor! Data available for viewing include engine speed, vehicle speed, throttle position, transmission fluid temperature, shifter position, commanded gear, and more!
MSD is breaking new ground in electronic fuel injection with the next generation of Atomic EFI – the all new Atomic LS platform. Where the Atomic TBI consolidated electronics and sensors into the throttle body itself, the LS platform incorporates the electronics into the fuel rails of the system! There’s no bulky ECU to mount and therefore no wires to route to and from – it’s all on the engine, hidden in plain sight.
This innovative design and advanced technology drastically reduces the wiring of an LS fuel injection system. Instead of guiding a massive loom of wires from the ECU to the injectors, coil packs and associated engine sensors, the Atomic LS requires only a short length of wires that run from the fuel rail assembly to each specific sensor (all with factory connectors in place). For instance, the driver side fuel rail includes sensor connections for the coolant temp, coil packs, injectors, cam sensor, TPS and fuel pressure sensor. The passenger side incorporates the crank sensor, coil packs, injectors and only the other necessary sensor connections for your engine configuration. Not only does that save you time and aggravation from wiring, but it improves the overall cleanliness of the engine compartment.
When you run an LS engine, performance begins with the introduction of air into the intake manifold. MSD’s new 90mm LS Throttle Body answers the need for a high quality throttle body with a cable driven throttle mechanism that bolts to most factory and aftermarket intakes. MSD invested the time and resources to develop a cast throttle body assembly in order to achieve a unique parabolic bore form. This design helps deliver excellent driveability characteristics during part throttle that typical billet straight bore throttles just can’t deliver. We incorporated factory style bearings and seals on the throttle blade to achieve a very robust design that can withstand temperature swings seen in street applications.
The Atomic Adjustable Regulator is configured for a single -6AN inlet, and dual -6AN outlets (for regulator-to-tank line routing flexibility). The recommended operating range is 15-90 psig (pounds per square inch gauge). The maximum recommended flow rate is 500 liters/hour (2.2 GPM). The vacuum/boost compensation ratio is 1:1.
