Of course the Atomic EFI comes with very detailed (instructions) but really it’s so easy to install we will give you the basics here.
      WBO2 bung
This is the only item on the Atomic EFI that requires cutting or welding. Unfortunately, there is really no way around it. The “no weld” style bungs often allow for leaks that will cause havoc on the oxygen sensor signals and in turn your whole EFI system. We recommend that you install this item first to get the hardest part done.
     FuelPump  Fuel Pump
Using a returnless system makes this step easier for the Atomic than any of our competitors. Just find a good spot to mount the pump and make sure it is lower than the tank pickup unit and the closer to the tank the better. Make sure to include the filter of course and to make things easy, go ahead and connect the ground terminal when you mount it. That’s all. No relay is needed and no need to get into the gas tank to run a return line or create a new vent!
      Power Module
The Power Module is the device that controls your fuel pump, fans, and connects the 02 sensor to the system. It can be mounted under the hood or in the passenger compartment. Mount it so you can wire everything in and make sure it is accessible so you can use the Handheld.
      Throttle Body
Now is when the install really gets exciting! Take some good pictures of that old carb on your engine; they’ll look good when you sell it online. Undo the throttle linkage, unbolt the carb, and say goodbye to antiquated fuel management. Simply bolt on the throttle body and transfer the throttle linkage!
      FuelLine  Fuel Line
Since the fuel pump is already mounted this should be easy. Run the supplied fuel line from the tank’s sending unit up to the Atomic throttle body with the filter and pump in-line. Most will be able to run this along the same path the OE fuel line went, just make sure to avoid kinks, sharp edges, and heat sources.
     AtomicEFI-Diagram  Wiring
This is where the Atomic really shines! There are only eight connections that have to be made – four wire connections like battery, key on, tach signal in, and fuel pump power and four plug-in connections like Engine Coolant Temp, WBO2, Power Module CAN, and the Handheld Monitor. With just those simple connections your engine will be able to run but we gave you some extra options as well. There are other wires available to include added functionality to the Atomic like two independent fan controls, A/C on kick-up, and ignition timing control.
     HHpi1  Handheld
This is the easiest part of the whole Atomic EFI system. Plug in the Handheld CAN connector, key-on to give it power, and put in some basic information. These are the questions EVERY car guy knows about his engine like the cubic inches and number of cylinders. There is no throttle configuration, no fuel map tuning, no fuss.
      Enjoy
Ok we lied; instead of the Handheld, this is the easiest part of the Atomic EFI system! Once the initial setup is complete your newly EFI-ed engine is ready to go for a cruise. You can enjoy the Atomic power for years to come without worry of cleaning a carb, rejetting, or adjusting idle screws. Get an easy start every time you want to enjoy your vehicle.
